“I had done my best, we had done a lot of research, a lot of visual effects work. I thought I had cracked it. And I remember right after we shot that schedule, after all that pre-production, our VFX budget practically tripled. And now the film has started,” Ayan said at the recent FICCI event. When asked if lack of planning caused inflation, Ayan said, “I don’t think it is lack of planning. For all the partners involved, including the VFX teams, what we were trying for Indian films was very new. I don’t know what they might be up against… I called the head of Disney at the time and Karan and I all flew to London. And we had already shot a large part of the film and we didn’t know if we were going to be able to raise the rest of the funds to finish it. So, those were very difficult days. Our little group that was trying to make the film, we also went through a lot of internal stress, but we came back stronger, we moved on.” Also Read – Ponniyin Selvan Box Office Collection Day 1: Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Film Shatters All Expectations; most shows HOUSEFULL; kit for this MASSIVE opening

A few days back, Ayan revealed that there is a lot of music in the film which they haven’t released yet. “The main reason is that we had to focus on finishing the film properly before its release and couldn’t indulge in launching these songs properly. This is just a general shout out to say that we are resuming this Journey with focus and excitement now… that we are planning to release Rasiya and other songs early next week… And we are planning to complete and release our entire music album Brahmastra – by DUSSEHRA, October 5!” he had said.

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. The next part of the trilogy is titled Brahmastra Part Two: Dev.
