Having immediate access to large funds gives you an astonishing ability to buy any car of your liking. Car salesmen fight for an opportunity to sell you the dream you never knew you had. Celebrities are at the forefront of this – some of them, like Floyd Mayweather, Jerry Seinfeld, or even Kevin Hart – do live a life any gearhead could only imagine. If you Google the biggest celebrity car collections, it is interesting to notice that Lady Gaga has one of the most comprehensive (and most interesting) car collections we have ever seen. However, the polar opposite in the world of celebrities exists, and here’s a list of everyday cars celebrities drive.
1/10 Christian Bale – Toyota Tacoma

One would expect that a guy who has been a Batman and did a gig in a movie portraying an epic Le Mans fight between Ferrari and Ford in the sixties, could own or drive some crazy supercars. Christian Bale, however, is a bit conservative with his car ownership privately. You are most likely to see him drive a pre-owned 2003 Toyota pickup truck. I am talking here about the 2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road PreRunner V-6. It is a workhorse for sure. And that is one of the main reasons Bale chose it. In one of the interviews, he said that all of his friends always need something to move around, and this Tacoma does the job perfectly. On the other hand, Tacoma is not exactly a looker. Christian Bale goes unnoticed most of the time while driving it. I guess that is the real reason why he owns it. The guy who had the Batmobile at his disposal, and crashed that beautiful Lambo Murcielago in the Dark Night movie, apparently owns a BMW 3 Series as well.
2/10 Leonardo DiCaprio – Toyota Prius

As a well-known environmentalist and eco-activist, Leonardo DiCaprio chooses his cars wisely, and per his eco-friendly goals. Sure, he has a car collection – because with a 260 million net worth, how couldn’t you? His collection, however, does not include some extreme gas guzzlers (except for the Porsche Cayenne). Other cars in his collection include the beautiful Fisker Karma, Tesla Roadster, and the Lexus RX Hybrid. Nevertheless, the car you are most likely to see him drive is his trusted Toyota Prius. As a hybrid, and one of the eco-friendliest cars ever conceived, Prius is nothing short of a celebrity in itself. While humble, and cheap, Prius did reach several celebrities in its heyday as all of them promoted the idea of eco-friendliness. The Prius was the car to have. Priced at just over $20k, it is not a car one could associate with a guy whose net worth is higher than a quarter of a billion.
3/10 Jennifer Lawrence – Volkswagen Eos

As one of the coolest people out there, one would expect Jennifer Lawrence to drive something crazy, but the thing is that you are most likely to see her in the Volkswagen Eos. While this is not the only car she owns (how could it be considering her net worth of $160 million), it could be one of her favorites. Other cars we saw Jennifer Lawrence drive (and/or own), include two Teslas (S and Y), Merc S-class, Cadillac ELR, Cadillac Escalade, and even an Audi Q7. Quirky Eos could be the right fit though.
4/10 Tom Hanks – Fiat 126P
Ok, this is not exactly a car Tom Hanks bought for himself, but he did receive it as a gift from a Polish town Bielsko-Biala. See, for years Hanks took pictures with the Fiat 126 wherever he saw it. He even joked publicly that that was his new car. People noticed, and America’s favorite TV dad got a present. The city of Bielsko-Biala in Poland found a pristine example and then delivered it to Carlex Design who crafted a wholly custom leather interior. Tom Hanks received the car and sold it at a charity auction for $83,500 supporting the Hidden Heroes Campaign. This group of people, with Tom Hanks as its chairman, supports the spouses, parents, and loved ones who care for wounded service members or veterans.
Now, on a bit more serious note, if you peek in Tom Hanks’s garage, you can see the 2011 Ford F-450 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat, 1980 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, and even a Scion xB. You are most likely to see him driving that car (when he is not cruising in the Tesla Model S P85D that is).
5/10 Britney Spears – Mini Cooper S

As one of the biggest celebrities in the world, Britney Spears does have a knack for creating sensational news. Not when it comes to her cars though, as she can be seen driving around in the Mini Cooper – a car synonymous with fashionable people and celebrities. Having sold more than 150 million records, Britney Spears most certainly earned enough money to drive around in anything she desires. That is why her car collection includes a Maserati, BMW i8, Mercedes SLK, Mercedes G55 AMG, and others. However, it may be that the Mini Cooper belongs to her the most. It is not confirmed, but she could own two Mini Cooper cars – the convertible and the coupe. Her association with the automotive industry spanned more than two decades. Back in 2001, she was named the Grand Marshal for the 43rd NASCAR race.
6/10 Conan O’Brien – 1992 Ford Taurus SHO

Comedian and late-night host Conan O’Brien own a 26-year-old Ford Taurus SHO with a manual transmission. He bought a car back in 1992 and kept it all this time. His association with the car is lovable as it appeared in numerous Late Night shows Conan hosted. At one point in time, even Brad Pitt managed to get behind the wheel of this famed Taurus. And that leads us to our next celebrity.
7/10 Angelina Jolie – Jeep Grand Cherokee

As a women-rights activist, Angelina Jolie most definitely is a vigorous and effective individual. Her taste in cars is not known, but it is noted that she has a rather massive car collection. Well, it may not be a collection at that, but just a random set of cars. Here is what kind of cars I have found belonging to our favorite Tomb Raider: a 2007 BMW Hydrogen 7, Range Rover Vogue, 2013 Lexus LS 460 F, Jaguar XJ, 2020 GMC Acadia, Volvo XC90, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cadillac Escalade ES, 2018 Mercedes-Benz S 450, Ford Explorer, Audi A8L. There are a lot of cars there, but you have to notice that all of them have four doors and lean toward luxury. No surprise there as some estimated Angelina Jolie’s wealth at more than $120 million. What I find most interesting is that you can see Jolie in the Grand Cherokee. Considering her Tomb Raider persona, one cannot but imagine that things are just right.
8/10 Zac Efron – Oldsmobile Alero

This guy isn’t known for his love for cars, but that does not mean he does not own something cool. Foremost, the first car he had was that cool-looking Oldsmobile Alero (I find it cool looking – don’t know about you). He kept the car even after he got into acting, and you could see him drive it around quite a bit. After a while, he donated the car to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Now, this actor has a car collection at his disposal. That collection includes a Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes V-class, BMW 5-series, 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible, Audi S6, Audi R8, Audi S5 Coupe, and the Tesla Model S.
9/10 Justin Timberlake – Volkswagen Jetta

Once, the paparazzi spotted him driving a humble Volkswagen Jetta. Ever since Timberlake has sort of a “humble guy” persona in the world of gearheads. His Jetta isn’t the only car he drives though. Take a peek at this:

10/10 Daniel Radcliffe – Fiat Punto

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry alumni Daniel Radcliffe drove an old $5k beater for years. Fiat Punto, as a small city car, served him well. He bought it when he turned 18 despite having millions in the bank. You don’t have to be Einstein to figure out why – Punto is environmentally friendly, and it does not draw any kind of unwanted attention. In any case, it is a car he replaced with a tad more flamboyant $250k Lamborghini Huracan.
