The buzz around Cannes Film Festival has begun and many Indian celebrities attend this event every year. In 2022, India was the ‘country of honour’ at Cannes and Deepika Padukone was a member of the jury. Apart from Deepika, Urvashi Rautela, Helly Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Hina Khan, and R Madhavan, among others attend Cannes Film Festival.
As the Cannes Film Festival is all set to start in a few days, take a look at Bollywood celebrities expected and confirmed to attend the event this year.
1. Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma will make her Cannes Film Festival debut this year and will be a part of an event to honour women in cinema. Her attendance was confirmed by French Ambassador to India, Emmanuel Lenain, who earlier met the actor and Viral Kohli.
2. Manushi Chhillar
Former Miss World and actor Manushi Chhillar will reportedly make her Cannes debut this year. She has not confirmed the news yet. She made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ opposite Akshay Kumar and will be seen in ‘Tehraan’ with John Abraham.
3. Dolly Singh
Social media influencer and content creator Dolly Singh will also make her Cannes Film Festival debut this year. She will attend the official movie screenings at the iconic Grand Lumiere Theatre. She said, “The Cannes Film Festival has been an important platform for Indian artists to showcase their talent on the international stage. Over the years Indian talent has not only brought Indian cinema to the world stage but has also helped to break down cultural barriers and promote cross-cultural exchange.”
4. Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi made her Cannes Film Festival debut in 2022 and looked breathtaking in all her stunning looks. She will reportedly attend Cannes for the second time and will represent L’Oreal Paris.
5. Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Kennedy’ has been selected to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2023 and has been selected for the Midnight screening. The movie stars Rahul Bhatt and Sunny Leone in the lead role. It can be expected that Anurag will be attending the film festival and the director has confirmed the news yet.
Aishwarya Rai is a regular at Cannes Film Festival and is the global spokesperson of L’Oreal Paris. She is expected to grace the red carpet again this year. For the unversed, she was the first Indian female actor to be a Cannes jury member.
