Director Anurag Kashyap took to his Instagram and shared a poster of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with a long post of appreciation. He called the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt film Karan Johar’s best yet. The director praised Karan saying that he has not left his world and has not held back any punches. He shared that he watched Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani twice and requested people to watch it again. Anurag praised Ranveer and Alia’s writing and performances, saying they are both on top form and praised their chemistry, calling it sparkling. His post goes viral in entertainment news.

With Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Anurag Kashyap enjoyed the dialogues of a mainstream Hindi film after a long time. He praised writers Ishita Moitra and Gogo Roy for the same. However, his favorite parts were the “unrequited love story” between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan’s “patriarchal villainy”. He praised Thota Roy Choudhary and Churni Ganguly for their performances of Rani’s parents, as well as Aamir Bashir, who plays Ranveer’s father in the film. Anurag did not know the names of Ranveer’s mother and sister and apologized for the same. Kshitee Jog and Anjali Anand played Ranveer’s mother and sister in the film.
