Anna Kendrick was part of Dusk cast from the first film to Dawn part 1. Although she was close to the franchise, she quickly grew tired of giving interviews about the films.

Dusk it did wonders for the careers of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. It turned both actors into huge A-Listers and gave Pattinson the career boost he was looking for. But Kendrick hasn’t experienced similar benefits during her time with the franchise.
“I never got a job because of it Dusk. The thing about it is that Dusk the fans are so nice. I know people kind of make fun of them, but they’re really nice people – that’s the best thing about it, but I never got a job because of that movie,” she once said in an interview with DIY.
Instead, her Oscar nomination for the much smaller film In the air gave her more options. But these weren’t the opportunities she was looking for.
“You know, I got a lot of job offers after that In the air where I would be doing basically the same thing I was doing there, which is not good for me,” Kendrick said. “It’s supposed to be a creative industry, but people just want to put you in a little box and say ‘oh she only does one thing.’ It seems weird to me that it took a while for people to forget about the specifics of this character and go “oh, she was good at that, let’s get her to look at that” instead of “oh, you know who we should get, that chick, that does this one thing!’”

Given the popularity of the series, Kendrick will have to do a lot of press for the franchise. But the tabloids focused a lot on Pattinson and Stewart’s personal lives at the time. This meant that Kendrick faced a lot of difficult questions for her colleagues, which tainted her interviews.
“That’s why I don’t like to talk about Dusk “I try to use really evasive boring answers,” she said. “I don’t know how to avoid it – people just want to write a really provocative headline. I know this is news and people deal with it all the time, but I like to think that people don’t just look at the headlines. I can’t remember the last rational one I saw. I’m not angry, I’m disappointed.”

Being a part of vampire movies hasn’t always been a fun time for Kendrick. When she was brought in to shoot the first film, she could barely cope with the environment she was in. In an interview for Vanity FairKendrick recalled his difficulties adjusting to the film’s setting in Portland, Oregon.
“I just remember my conversation was completely soaked and I was like, you know, this is a really great group of people and I’m sure we would have been friends in another time, but I want to kill everyone,” she said. “There was something about it that was like, you know, like you’re going through some sort of traumatic event, like people surviving a hostage situation. You are somehow connected for life.
