In a shocking turn of events, Ankita Lokhande is mourned like his father, Shashikant Lokhandepassed away early morning on 12th August 2023. Neither Ankita Lokhande nor her husband Vicky Jane have given statements about the death. The media spread the sad news. Ankita’s father was 68. He was suffering from many age-related ailments, reports said. Ankita Lokhande was close to her father. She would share posts about birthdays and family occasions.
Ankita Lokhande’s father dies
Ankita Lokhande’s father Shashikant Lokhande was 68 years old. The cause of his death is unknown, but he is said to have been suffering from health problems. Ankita’s father breathed his last at around 11:45 am on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Ankita had also shared that her father was not feeling well on her Instagram. This is truly tragic and we pray that Ankita and her family muster the strength to cope with such a great loss.
Ankita Lokhande’s post about her father on Father’s Day
A few weeks ago, Ankita shared a heartfelt video wishing her father on Father’s Day. She wrote a long note revealing how he had always been her support system. In her post, she shared that he always granted their wish when they were kids. She had seen him struggle. Ankita recalls how her father made sure she had money to pay rent when she first moved to Mumbai to pursue her dreams.
Talking about his ill health, Ankita Lokhande shared that she had seen him struggle with his health but her father Shashikant was always strong willed and that she and her family got strength from his smiling face.

Ankita Lokhande’s post from her pre-wedding celebrations
Ankita Lokhande had fun with Teri Ladki Main on the Sangeet night of her pre-wedding celebrations. She dedicated the post to her mother and father. The post and performance left everyone emotional. On the wedding anniversary of her mother and father, she released photos of the Sangeet evening and wished them, calling herself the luckiest girl on the planet to have such parents who understand her without words or language.
Ankita’s father’s last rites are said to be held at Oshiwara Crematorium at 11 am on 13th August 2023. Rest in peace Ankita’s dad. May God give strength to the whole family to cope with the huge loss.
