As Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s court case rolled one after the other, the latter was emerging as the villain with each passing day. While Johnny Depp’s image took a severe beating before the trial, to the point of losing and even being fired from major Hollywood projects, his divorce battle with Amber Heard was a shattering revelation, with most evidence and witnesses clearly pointing to her as the aggressor, instigator and downright vile human being.
Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard jury verdict
In fact, Johnny’s account of being the actual victim of domestic violence was also supported by other testimony and audio evidence. With more of Amber’s lies being exposed, support for Johnny grew by the day, both in and out of court, and if there were any doubts, the jury’s verdict on the final day of the trial put them to rest. As expected, the jury unanimously voted in favor of Johnny Depp and ordered Amber Heard to pay him $15 million in damages.
Amber Heard files for dismissal of defamation lawsuit
Amber Heard’s lawyers have already filed a motion in a Virginia court to throw out the aforementioned defamation verdict along with the Pirates of the Caribbean superstar’s entire defamation case against her, claiming he has “no evidence.” Court House News cited the brief provided by the Aquaman actress’ legal team, which read: “Mr. Depp’s team proceeded solely with the theory of defamation by implication, abandoning any claims that Ms. Heard’s statements were actually false. Ms. Heard did not know the title of her 2018 article and did not even find out about the title until Mr. Depp sued her.
