Why Boycott Brahmastra is trending?

On social media, many are calling for a boycott of the film. After Alia Bhatt’s remark about nepotism and online trolling, the trend picked up. She stated that she can’t control what people think and she can’t continue to defend herself. In an interview with Mid-Day, the actress was quoted as saying, “I can’t go on defending myself verbally. And if you don’t like me, don’t look at me. I can not help. This is something I can Do (nothing). People have things to say. Hopefully, I will prove to them with my films that I really deserve the place I occupy.” However, many called her arrogant for this remark and started calling for a boycott of the film.
