The 68th Filmfare Awards are taking place today. The Kashmir Files is one of the films that has a number of nominations. There are seven nominations in total. The film, which is a gripping and heart-wrenching story of the genocide of Hindus in the Kashmir Valley, was one of the big hits of 2022. It earned over Rs 250 crore at the Indian box office. Kashmir Dossier was made on a budget of Rs 14 crore. Vivek Agnihotri tweeted that he will not be attending the Filmfare Awards. Now the film’s producer Abhishek Agarwal has slammed it as unfair. Vivek Agnihotri said the way Filmfare Awards treated directors, writers and other team members was unethical. He said they were only worried about the stars. Check out his tweet that went viral.. He tweeted that “I refuse to be a part of any oppressive and corrupt system or awards that treat writers, directors and other film executives and crew members as inferior to and/or slaves to stars. My congratulations to all those who win and more to those who don’t. On the bright side, I’m not alone. Slowly but steadily a parallel Hindi film industry is emerging. We have to see if The Kashmir Files will take trophies at the awards. The film received great appreciation in some foreign nations as well. Some said it was the Schindler’s List of India.
