The critically acclaimed film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, starring the versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee, has gained immense popularity since its recent release on ZEE5. The overwhelmingly positive response from the audience has prompted the film’s makers to consider a limited theatrical release. Recognizing the film’s potential and the demand from eager fans, Manoj Bajpayee revealed in a recent interview that the makers are actively brainstorming a strategy to present Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai in theaters.

While talking to Indian Express, Bajpayee said that Bandaa should, at least, have a symbolic theatrical release to honour the demand of the audience. He asserted, “In the beginning, I was the only one fighting with Zee Studios and Shariq (Patel), the head, with Vinod Bhanushali, and the entire team that this film is made for theatres.”
He further added, “We are still arguing about it. Who was right and who is not right, that’s a very hilarious one. But because of the massive public demand, Zee Studio and Vinod are sitting together, as we speak, brainstorming as to how to go about releasing it in theatres. At least symbolically, to respect the demand of the audience. Let’s see where it goes from here.”
Written by Deepak Kingrani and directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film traces the journey of an ordinary lawyer who is out to fight a case against a powerful godman accused of raping a minor. The film started streaming on ZEE5 from May 13.
