Actors Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher and filmmaker R Balki have started promoting their upcoming film Ghoomer ahead of its release. In a recent interview, the cast answered some fun questions with Abhishek taking the trophy for his witty answers. In one of the answers, he even said that he loved getting selfie photographs clicked by his wife, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In an interview with Etimes, the trio was asked, who is their favourite co-star, they wouldn’t mind taking a selfie with. To this, Abhishek was quick to say, “My wife!”. He further said that Aishwarya takes the best selfies and “You know she will make you look good”.
Balki and Abhishek were also asked about Saiyami’s birth date. While both of them failed to tell the correct date, Abhishek joked that her birthday is in his phone, set as a reminder. Balki recalled that he knows her birthday because a few weeks back they were all together when the team realised that it was her birthday. Saiyami, who played the role of a cricketer in Ghoomer also had fun by stating the wrong date of birth first.

It seemed that the trio had a great rapport while shooting for the film. Giving away several anecdotes from behind-the-scenes. Speaking about each other’s eating habits, R Balki and Abhishek revealed that they dislike it when Saiyami eats fruits because they don’t like it. Abhishek even joked saying that he and the director will outlive everyone because they do not eat fruits.
Saiyami revealed that once they were shooting in Mahabaleshwar and she was eating strawberries but R Balki and Abhishek didn’t let her eat around them.
Ghoomer tells the story of a female cricketer, who looses her right arm in an accident. How she gets back in the game with just one hand and bowls with a left hand makes the premise of the story. Abhishek plays the role of a coach, who prepares Saiyami for her second innings in her career. The film also has a cameo by Amitabh Bachchan in the film and stars Angad Bedi and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on 18 August.
