India’s biggest reality TV show, Bigg Boss 16 is finally here. Salman Khan took the stage in a grand fashion today, September 27, to officially kick off the new season of Bigg Boss in the presence of a huge contingent of media at the prestigious Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra, Mumbai. And even before Bigg Boss 16 could be officially launched, the question on everyone’s lips was who are the Bigg Boss contestants, with several names doing the rounds in the media. Well, the cat is finally out at least for the first contestant in Bigg Boss 16 as the host superstar Salman Khan himself has already introduced the first contestant, Abdu Rozik.
Who is Abdu Rozik, the first contestant in Bigg Boss 16?
Abdu Rozik is a social media star who currently boasts 3.8 million followers on Instagram alone. He is known for his funny videos about everyday scenarios as well as his unique rendition of Bollywood songs. He also occasionally sings his own tunes. Abdu Roziq will also be making his Bollywood debut later this year alongside none other than Salman Khan in the superstar’s Christmas release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine that Bhai probably had a hand in him appearing on Bigg Boss 16, given his affection for the little guy.
Bigg Boss 16 Start Date and New Format
The latest season of Bigg Boss will start from October 1 onwards. This year, Bigg Boss himself is expected to play the game with the contestants, while Salman Khan has promised to be stricter with the fake contestants this year.

Bigg Boss is set to air on Colors TV channel and will also be simulcast daily on the Voot OTT platform with Salman Khan hosting as usual on weekends.
