Men are having a leggy moment in fashion today–and Brad Pitt’s in on it

While the niche, fashion-forward risk-takers are constantly pushing the envelope of what’s acceptable and blurring the boundaries of gendered style, skirts have infiltrated the wardrobes of the risk-averse mainstream male – like Brad Pitt. For the Berlin premiere of his latest, Bullet Train, last month, the actor gave us a notable menswear skirt moment. The slew of slouchy linen suits by Haans Nicholas Mott for the promotions was punctuated by a skirt suit featuring a raw-hemmed knee-length skirt and a matching jacket in cocoa brown. He wore it with a button-down and black boots. Flaunting his calves, Pitt introduced us to tattoos we didn’t know existed.

Elsewhere, Donald Grover is embracing the spirit of summer in itty bitty cut-offs. The actor was seen bearing the NYC heatwave in thigh-grazing training shorts that showed off his toned gams, paired with a black Tee and a bucket hat. In a second appearance soon after, he wore yellow shorts cut so short, they were barely a few inches long. Grover styled it sans a shirt, walking bare-chested and bare-legged, flexing his muscular pins. This took us back to when This is Us actor Milo Ventimiglia made headlines last year in his sexed-up, thigh-high micro shorts. Raising the temperatures with his defined and sinewy legs, it begged the question – how short is too short? The unwavering style icon, Harry Styles, also gave it a nod of approval. The singer is living his best life in Italy, going about town in shorts.
