Sad but true, Thank you to Naga Chaitanya thanks at the box office. While critical response to the film was lukewarm, audiences completely rejected the film. The theaters seem to be empty from the second day of the Naga Chaitanya and Raashi Khanna film. It is as big a disaster as Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi’s Acharya. The only redeeming factor is that Thanks was not overpriced like the Koratala Siva movie. But it is still a disappointment for Naga Chaitanya fans. The handsome hero has Laal Singh Chaddha in August. He has a very prominent role in the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan film.
Producer Dil Raju seems to have incurred losses to the tune of Rs 15 crore on the film. The producer seems to be having a bad time as both his films, Jersey and Heath bombed. The only saving grace for him was the fact that he was the distributor of RRR and KGF 2. Both the films made huge strides. Warrior, the Ram Pothineni film that was distributed by him, was also a colossal flop. Naga Chaitanya is known for his work in love stories but Thank You was completely rejected.
The film grossed only three crore rupees worldwide. This is Naga Chaitanya’s second consecutive flop after Bangaraju. The film tells the story of a man who decides to express gratitude to the people in his life after his girlfriend leaves him, saying she is a narcissist.
#Thank you is the biggest disaster of the year for Tollywood. It barely managed to collect ₹3 Cr Share worldwide in its weekend (on a percentage basis). The makers are set to lose approximately ₹15 Cr as their own theatrical release. #ThankYouMovie #ThankYouTheMovie pic.twitter.com/lEv82HBidM
