Why was Rohit Shetty afraid to host? In an interview with indianexpress.com, host Rohit Shetty stated that he was scared because there are already many superstars who have hosted the show. It started with Akshay Kumar as the host and even Arjun Kapoor hosted for one season. And then there were TV stars who were a part of it. Rohit Shetty feels it is a big responsibility to take on the show. He said, “It was challenging as the show was made by actors and superstars. The show then went on hiatus for a few years. And when they came back with a new format, they asked me to host it. It was a big responsibility. I gave 100 percent of myself and it was my first season. But when it was supposed to be televised, I was scared to be honest. It was the first time a director was making this kind of show. There were a lot of expectations and I wasn’t sure if people would accept me or not. That was something I was afraid of.
