The Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam the lead actor’s new movie has been appreciated by the audience and they are demanding a U/A certificate for the same. Oh my god 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit film, Oh my gosh. It was directed by Amit Rai and deals with the sensitive topic of sex education. While the film is earning money and love from the audience, the director of the Akshay Kumar starrer has made some shocking revelations about it.

While chatting with an online entertainment portal, Oh my god 2 director Amit Rai expresses his disappointment as the target audience for whom the new film is made cannot watch it. He says one should obey the laws of the land. Rai says he can oppose but he can’t rebel and that he is here to make movies and not bring revolution. The director recalls that he was at home for 10 years after Road to Sangam because no one was ready to give him work after that. Then he made a film but people told him that he couldn’t show that film. Amit Rai then makes a big revelation that the script of Oh my god 2 was rejected by major manufacturers.

Rai shares that Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker and others have rejected the script. He asks if they know what he went through after the rejections. It was Akshay Kumar who came to his rescue. The Sooryavanshi the actor showed courage to support the new film. The Oh my god 2 the director shared that Akshay was very open to the script and felt that the film should be made. Rai met Akshay through Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah and Rajesh Bal. Had Akshay not backed him, the script would have been sitting in a corner, claims the director. Yet after investing around Rs 50 crore and casting an actor in the film, the CBFC said they couldn’t screen it.

OMG 2 received an ‘A’ grade and had to undergo certain changes suggested by the review committee before being cleared. An ‘A’ certification could have hindered business, don’t you think? However, Oh my god 2 has earned around Rs 73.67 crore at the box office. By the end of this week, the film is likely to enter the Rs 100 crore club. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar recently thanked fans for accepting both Bridge 2 and Oh my god 2.
