Kangana Ranaut on July 5 announced the release date of her upcoming film Tejas. The film will hit theaters on October 20, during Dussehra. She also released several pictures from the film on her social media, dressed as an Air Force officer. Interestingly, Hrithik Roshan recently revealed the release date of his next big hit, Fighter. Both Tejas and Fighter have been touted as aerial action films. Now that Kangana is making the announcement of her film, wide-eyed social media users have pointed out that the Manikarnika actress took a subtle dig at Hrithik in one of her posts.
Kangana Ranaut digs Hrithik Roshan
Kangana Ranaut, in a now-defunct Instagram story, shared a picture of herself in a Tejas action avatar. But her cryptic caption caught the attention of the internet populace. Tagging Tejas director Sarvesh Mewara, Kangana wrote, “India’s first aerial action film is here,” adding an airplane emoji. But wait! Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter is said to be Bollywood’s first aerial action film. Now with Kangana also claiming the same, it looks like the B-town diva wants to compete with the fan-proclaimed Greek god.

“We honor the bravery of our heroic Air Force pilots! Tejas, hits theaters on October 20,” tweeted Kangana, announcing her much-anticipated film. The photos capture her in uniform, honoring someone. In another shot, she can be seen wearing a flight suit with a helicopter behind her. Kangana also gave us her action-ready avatar in another look from Tejas that she shared on Instagram. The actress looked fierce as she walked on the sandy terrain. Behind her was a burning car.

All about Tejas
Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara, Tejas is produced under the banner of RSVP Movies. It centers around an air force officer, Tejas Gill, who leads a brave army of soldiers to protect his country. After Tejas, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in the biographical drama Emergency, directed and produced by her. She will step into the shoes of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. The premiere of Emergency is expected in theaters on November 24.
Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan’s The Fighter is directed by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand and promises plenty of action. The ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi and Akarsh Alag.
