We can’t talk about the Ramayan without bringing up Om Raut’s Adipurush, it seems. There have been a lot of problems with the movie, like rude lines and bad visual effects, which has made fans sad about the Rs 500 crore project.
Sunil Lahri, who played Lakshman in Ramanand Sagar’s TV version of the tale, has said what he thinks about Kangana Ranaut’s new movie, Sita: The Incarnation. Sunil said in an interview with magazine that he trusts Kangana’s creative choices and thinks she won’t mess with the culture. He said that Kangana’s performance as Sita will make people respect the character, but he warned against changing traditional values.
Kangana liked Sunil’s comments, and she shared a picture of them to show how nice they were. Sunil had doubts about Alia Bhatt playing Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s version of the Ramayana. He said that Alia doesn’t have the right amount of sensitivity for the part. He thought that Alia’s face no longer showed the innocence needed for Sita, but he did say that Ranbir Kapoor could be a good choice for the part of Ram because of how calm and playful he is.
Sunil also said bad things about Adipurush, saying that he was disappointed that the movie’s creators had changed the main point of the story in order to stand out. He wondered who the director and writer were making the movie for, because he thought the movie had lost its true meaning in the process.
