Akshay Kharodia, who essays the role of Dev in Pandya Store, recently was seen being a proud father as he celebrated his daughter’s first birthday. For the unversed, Akshay got married to his longtime girlfriend Divya Punetha in June 2021, and the couple was blessed with a baby girl in April 2022 and they named her Ruhi. And now that his little angel turned one year old, Akshay was seen celebrating this moment in a special manner in Badrinath, which is considered to be a special place for the couple.

Akshay’s wife Divya Kharodia, who is a gynaecologist, was posted at Gopeshwar in Badrinath during her pregnancy, due to which they decided to celebrate their daughter Ruhi Kharodia’s birthday at the same place. Along with a cake cutting ceremony, they also planned a small bash and invited their close friends.
A source close to the actor confirmed it saying, “Yes, all of this was held in the mountains of Badrinath. The place where they decided to celebrate their daughter’s birthday also holds a lot of importance. According to Hindu mythology, it is stated that Gopinath temple was made by Pandvas 5000 years ago, where the duo practised a holy ritual of Rudra Abhishek for their child’s well-being.”
The source added, “The celebrations didn’t end there. They also planned a visit to a nearby orphanage in their hometown, where they spent some cheerful moments with the kids and also arranged a snack party for them. They also fed some animals around as a way of seeking blessings for their daughter Ruhi.”
Interestingly, Akshay Kharodia also turned father in his ongoing show Pandya Store recently in which he essays the role of the second son in the Pandya house. He is married to Rishita aka Simran Budharup in the show.
