Yash Raj Films released a video where Siddharth spoke about the film, Shahrukh Khan’s direction and much more. He said it is like a responsibility to guide SRK with the expectations and excitement he brings from his comeback after a long hiatus. The director also feels that the superstar has created huge expectations and excitement among the audience. Siddharth Anand mentions that SRK’s breakthrough added huge buzz to the film. As the film neared its release date, Anand realized how big this fan base was. The director is convinced that the action will be amazing and promised that the fans will be happy and proud. Talking further about pairing Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone together, Sid said it was a challenge to make them look different from their previous films. Citing the fact that they have collaborated in many films before and have been successful. He added that the team worked intricately to present the duo in a new way.

The director says that the pairing of SRK and DP in Pathaan will look fresh and the audience will love it. The duo has paired up in many Bollywood movies and they undoubtedly look amazing. Their first film together was Om Shanti Om which reached 15. It was also Deepika’s debut Bollywood film after which she went on to appear with SRK in Happy New Year and Chennai Express. The duo’s next film after Pathaan is Atlee’s Jawan.

Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under the banners of Yash Raj Films. The action movie will be released in theaters on January 25, 2023.
