Norfolk has produced some famous faces and educated even more, with actors, inventors and authors going to school in the county.

City College Norwich – Sam Claflin, Stephen Fry, Sigala
Much-loved multi-hyphenate Stephen Fry grew up in Booton and went to Paston College and Norfolk College of Arts and Technology before finishing his A Levels at City College.
Suffolk-born actor Sam Claflin, known for Me Before You and Hunger Games, went to Costessey High before doing performing arts at City College.
Sigala, the DJ and music producer who wrote Came Here for Love and Just Got Paid, is from Norfolk. He went to Reepham High School before going to City College.
Lynn Grove Academy – Bimini Bon Boulash
Born in Yarmouth, drag queen Bimini Bon Boulash is best known as a fan favourite on the second series of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK. They went to Lynn Grove Academy.
The Hewett Academy – Saraya Jade Bevis, Jake Humphrey
Jake Humprey went to Framingham Earl High School before going to sixth form at the Hewett School. He is now known for hosting football on BBC Sport and Grand Prix on BBC Sport.
Professional wrestler Saraya Jade Bevis, known better for her ring name Paige, is a two-time WWE Divas champion. She is from Norwich and went to the Hewett School.
Great Yarmouth Charter Academy – Jason Statham
Known for his roles in action-thriller movies, Jason Statham moved from Derbyshire to Yarmouth as a child. He went to Charter Academy and practised martial arts.
Cliff Park Ormiston Academy – Myleene Klass
Myleene Klass, singer and presenter, was born in Yarmouth and went to Ormiston Academy and East Coast College. She was in pop group Hear’Say and is now a TV presenter.
Gresham’s School – Olivia Colman, James Dyson, Miranda Raison
Norwich-born Oscar-winner Olivia Colman went to Norwich High School for Girls and Gresham’s School. She is best known for her roles in Broadchurch, the Crown and the Favourite.
James Dyson, inventor and billionaire entrepreneur, was born in Cromer and went to Gresham’s. He invented the dual cyclone bagless vacuum and is the UK’s second richest person.
From Burnham Thorpe, actress Miranda Raison has starred in BBC’s Spooks and lots of plays. She went to Gresham’s as well as two Suffolk boarding schools.
Taverham High School – Cathy Dennis
Singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis was born in Norwich and went to Taverham High. She went on to write hits such as Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl, Britney Spears’ Toxic, and Kylie Minogue’s Can’t Get You Out of My Head.
