Viva Magenta | Pantone of 2023

Viva Magenta is the new hero of the fashion-verse  after being declared the Pantone colour of the year 2023. The season’s hottest colour, it is known to paint runways, wardrobes, and home decor in its hue. And it is a little different from the already-raging hot pink. The interestingly hybrid colour is all set to take over the fashion ramps and runways in the upcoming year.

Bollywood has also taken to the trend and how. A – list Bollywood biggies Deepika Padukone, Rashmika Mandanna, Kiara Advani, Nushrat Bharucha, Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday, Rakul Preet, Madhuri Dixit and more are styling the season’s new hottest colour.

The colour is truly vibrating with vim and vigour. For over 20 years and counting, the Pantone Colour Institute has set out the ‘it colour’ every year as an annual tradition. In the formal announcement statement, the institute mentioned that Pantone is exploring the dynamic between artificial intelligence and human creativity to create ‘The Magentaverse’ in line with Viva Magenta. Also, the Pantone 18-1750 Viva Magenta “brings out a new narrative and is willing to welcome everyone with the same rebellious spirit”. The Pantone, Viva Magenta was also referred to as “audacious, inclusive, witty and more”.

Deepika Padukone’s power pantsuit look is all over the internet. Draped in the hue of the season, Viva Magenta, Padukone  posed away in full flair. The actor’s outfit is sourced from the house of Magda Butrym. Styled and conceptualised by Shaleen Nathani, the outfit was perfectly paired with a high ponytail courtesy celebrity hair stylist, Yianni Tsapatori and the jewellery is by the brand Joolry. She also had a pair of chic magenta heels to complete the look.
