It was in 2017 when veteran actor Neena Gupta asked for a job by posting a post on Instagram that read, “I live in Mumbai and work, I am a good actor looking for good roles to play.” After that, Nina began to find work and appeared in a number of films. While the actress was said to have somehow opened the doors for other senior actresses, Sarika decided to disagree with the idea, saying that it was Neena’s individual story. When Sarika was asked about her views on the matter, she said that it’s not that senior actors don’t get roles. She praised Neena saying that it was her personal story that she asked for a job by putting herself out there and openly saying that she needed a job. However, Sarika feels that this has not opened the doors as such for all the other senior actors.
