Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor tied the knot in a private ceremony in Gurgaon in July 2015. The proud parents of two, daughter Misha and son Zayn, are often spotted setting big relationship goals for their whirlwind romance on social media. While Mira believes she has her own identity as an influencer and YouTuber apart from being Shahid Kapoor’s wife, she gets annoyed when the media uses terms like ‘star wife’ and ‘star kids’ to describe the actor’s husband and children.
Talking about being labeled as a star wife for the past seven years of her marriage to Shahid, Mira said she was against the use of these terms ‘star wife’ and ‘star kids’. She finds both terms derogatory and wants them banned or abolished altogether.
In her new interview, Meera said that people need to overcome these conditions now. Although people may associate it with recall value, but people dislike it when placed on a child as the term star child gives it nepotistic connotations.
“But this term is still being used as if it has to find its way out, and likewise, I’ve never understood the concept of a star wife, what does that mean? You can have an actor or a celebrity or a star who has a wife or a husband, nobody says star husband, why is there a star wife?” Mira told host Janis Sequeira on her show.
On Instagram, Mira Rajput Kapoor has a massive following of more than three million people. The social media influencer, mother of two gorgeous children, is a brand favorite and she posts lots of products and testimonials. People follow her for lifestyle, beauty and health stories.
