Mike Tindall was accused of cheating in the Partners in Grime challenge during Saturday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! as he claimed his rugby career nickname was Magic Mike rather than The Fridge.
The Mrs and Mrs-style game saw the campmates team up in pairs, with sportsman Mike, 44, being matched with Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, 59.
Sue was tasked with guessing Mike’s nickname during the quiz – with the soap star naming him as Magic Mike – which Mike went on to confirm as correct.
Awkward: Mike Tindall, 44, was accused of cheating in the Partners in Grime challenge during Saturday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
However, Mike was frequently known as The Fridge during his rugby career due to his physical bulk, with Magic Mike being the moniker he’s been given during his time in the camp due to his fearlessness when moving creepy-crawlies out of the way for his co-stars.
Arriving at the game show-style Trial, Ant explained: ‘This is Partners In Grime. In this game show you will compete in your pairs. You’ll be asked a question about your partner and if their response matches yours you will win a star.’
As a result of Mike claiming his nickname was Magic Mike, he was awarded a star for the camp.

Guessing game: Sue said Mike was known as Magic Mike, which has been called in the camp, which Mike claimed was correct, meaning they won a star
Taking to Twitter to dispute the sports star’s claims, one person wrote: ‘Mike Tindall’s nickname is actually The Fridge not Magic Mike #Imaceleb2022 #ImACelebrityGetMeOutOfHere.’
Contemplating there had been some hinting about Sue’s answer from one of the other campmates to Mike, another viewer posted: ‘Mike Tindall told a bit lie, his nickname when playing Rugby wasn’t Magic Mike, it was the FRIDGE – Someone told him what Sue said.’
While another person wrote: ‘Mike Tindall was never called Magic Mike when he played rugby he literally said she would never know and used the name that he knew she would guess as they have been calling him it the last 2 weeks mikes smart!’
Naughty: Taking to Twitter to dispute the sports star’s claims, viewers attempted to straighten things out, with one branding the spots star ‘sneaky’
One other viewer protested: ‘@imacelebrity Mike Tindall’s nickname was the Fridge, so they shouldn’t have got a star.’
While someone else noted: ‘Mike pulled a sneaky one there #ImACeleb.’
It comes after Mike showed off his jaw-dropping muscles as he posed during a photoshoot in 2012.
Mike, who’s married to King Charles’ niece Zara Phillips, was photographed in just a pair of white boxers as he became Mr June in the Rugby for Heroes calendar.

Mike, who at the time played outside centre for Gloucester, was described in the calendar as: ‘A calming influence, inspiring and composed.’
The description added that he ‘breaks up the attack’ and ‘leaves opponents exposed’.
Mike announced his retirement from professional rugby just two years after his short modelling stint.

Revealing: Mike recently left little to the imagination after he squeezed into the bright tropical swimwear for a dip in the camp creek
On a recent episode, Mike was accused of wearing his wife Zara’s bikini bottoms by cheeky hosts Ant & Dec.
After the Rugby star again took a dip in the creek, the camera cut to the co-hosts with Ant teasing: ‘I tell you what did come as a shock, what about that swimwear?
‘I want to know what Zara was thinking of that… ‘That’s where my bikini bottoms went!’.
Mike’s tiny trunks have been the talk of camp so far, but it comes after revealed he has had an awkward encounter with Princess Anne and a pair of boxers.
Cheeky: On Sunday’s episode Mike was accused of wearing his wife Zara’s bikini bottoms by cheeky hosts Ant & Dec
He told his camp mates how he once ripped his trousers and flashed his boxers which read ‘nibble my nuts’ to the Princess Royal.
Speaking during Monday’s episode, Mike made the hilarious confession.
He admitted he had a problem with ‘exaggerated dancing’ at special occasions, saying he often ‘s**t drops’ and tears his clothing.
Discussing smart attire in camp, he explained: ‘I love a suit. My problem with suits is I over exaggerate dancing at weddings… I rip a lot of suits, trousers and stuff.’
Comedian Seann Walsh laughed: ‘Course you do.’
Mike continued: ‘The old sl*t drop gets me every time. I went to a wedding, ripped a suit, they were like, ‘Oh my God, what are you going to do?’ I was like, ‘Don’t worry I’ve got a spare.’
‘They were like, ‘Who brings a spare suit?’ Someone who rips a lot of trousers brings a spare suit.’
He added: ‘Zara had like a 30th birthday, it was a disco 70s themed one, I was dancing on the dance floor, I had like flares on, full outfit but it was quite tight, nothing ever fits – rugby player’s bum and legs – so I was dancing with my mother-in-law and I did a sl*t drop in front of my mother-in-law.’
Terrific trio: Zara, Mike and Princess Anne are pictured at Royal Ascot in 2014
In the Bush Telegraph, Seann said: ‘Mike sl*t dropped in front of Princess Anne and that is not the end of the story… that’s already, what are you thinking?
Mike, who shares children Mia, eight, Lena, four, and Lucas, one, with Zara, continued: ‘Ripped my trousers, straight in front of her. It happened to be that my boxers that I had on at that time said ‘nibble my nuts’.’
The amusing tale prompted Seann and fellow comedian Babatúndé Aléshé to applaud him.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues on Sunday at 9.00pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
