I am a firm believer in buying clothes that will see you through years to come, rather than just a few seasons. So whether I’m shopping the high street or second hand, micro-trends rarely make their way into my wardrobe. After all, wearing the clothes you already have in your wardrobe (ideally, until they’re fall apart) is one of the most sustainable fashion habits you can have. Which brings me to one item that I’ve worn a LOT over the years, and would buy again in a heartbeat: my Zara blazer.

Striking the balance between quality fabric and an ‘oh so sleek’ design, my oversized blazer has been worn practically everywhere. It’s survived multiple fashion weeks, countless commutes into the office, fancy dinners, and even nights out. Better yet, it looks just as good as the day I bought it. So it goes without saying that the piece is both sturdy and versatile AF.

My favourite thing about said blazer, though, is that it looks much more expensive than it actually is – coming in at £49.99 (reduced from £79.99). I’d even go so far as to say it’s the most-worn item in my wardrobe, especially when it comes to my work clothes – a big call, but there you go.

Now, if price isn’t a factor in your shopping choices, lucky you (I am not jealous *at all*). When money is no object, there are countless high-end stores and brands to shop for quality tailored pieces. But if you’re on a budget, finding stylish tailoring on the high street is kinda like looking for a roast turkey at 2pm on Christmas Day – AKA, practically impossible. That is, until I found this Zara piece.

Style it with jeans and a t-shirt for dinner with your mates, over a silky slip dress for a party or even teamed with matching wide-leg trousers for a slouchy office suit combo – there are plennnnty of ways to wear the oversized blazer.
