The Preen x Next fashion collaboration is such stuff that dreams are made of. The freshly launched collection from London Fashion Week favourite Preen and the legendary high street destination has the fashion pack hot under the collar, and for good reason. Every season, Preen is the ticket that sees the style set clamouring for seats and getting giddy over the collections…
Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi – the husband and wife designer duo behind the brand – create darkly romantic dresses (and tops, skirts, coats and trousers…) that have just enough edge to stop them feeling prissy yet are mixed with all the dreamy ruffles and drama women want from a stand-out investment.
It’s a golden formula that has seen them at the top of their game for the past 26 years and ensured Preen has been worn by a constellation of celebrity fans, including Tracee Ellis Ross, Jenna Coleman and Meghan Markle. So you can understand why we are so excited that the duo’s designs (which usually retail for three figures and upwards) are available in a brilliant collaboration with high street hero Next – everything online right now is under £100. Prayers, answered.
With a figure-hugging velvet skirt that is ruched to work with your curves, deep puff-sleeve top that will elevate any jeans + nice top combo and on-trend dark florals (for winter? ground-breaking) there is certainly a Preen x Next fashion collaboration piece that will work for your next special occasion. Although the long sleeve t-shirt in leopard print and psychedelic checkerboard would make excellent every-day layering pieces while the pretty ruffled long sleeve blouse and long sleeve print sheer shirt are certain to add a little extra to your more serious office-day looks, too. We’re also thrilled that the sizing is one of the most inclusive we’ve seen in a designer collaboration, running from UK 6 through to 26. Again, we are here for it.
Our favourite piece? The asymmetric midi dress in red ditsy print floral carries all the signatures of a piece from Preen’s mainline collection – without the price tag. The ruched hip-line, floaty fabric and bold asymmetric hemline make it a strong contender for your festive season go-to. With a black cardigan and winter boots it will suit your daytime duties while switching to heels (and adding some sparkling jewellery) will make the transition to after dark antics super-smooth. Later on in the season a sprinkling of sequins (in the shape of a dress, skirt and top) are set to arrive online, along with a black floral midi dress that we are already imagining wearing on Christmas Day – and beyond…
Scroll down to see the pieces we love, which have just launched from Preen x Next.
