There are two things people look forward to screaming when we hit the cold months – ‘It’s Christmas’ in the style of Noddy Holder, and ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’ in the style of Ant and Dec.
Yes indeed, it’s time for another series of the iconic ITV reality series, and this year’s lineup promises to deliver some memorable moments, with an unlikely mix of 80s pop stars (Boy George), members of the royal family (Mike Tindall) and, er, Matt Hancock.
The show kicked off last night, but how many episodes will it run for and when might the final be?
How many episodes of I’m a Celebrity will there be this year?
The theme of this year is most definitely 22.
In 2022, for the 22nd series of the show, there will be – you guessed it – 22 episodes in total.
This is slightly longer than last year’s series, which only had 19 episodes – and season 20, which saw 20 episodes.
The launch episode was a bumper edition, lasting one hour and 45 minutes.
The show will now air every night, except on Saturdays.
In past series of I’m A Celebrity, the show usually kicks off slightly later in the year. But, due to the World Cup (which starts on November 20), the start date was pushed forward to November 6.
When could the I’m a Celebrity 2022 final be?
With 22 episodes in total – and the show not airing on Saturdays – viewers should expect the final to air on Wednesday, November 30.
The finale is typically one and a half hours long, with four celebrities eagerly waiting to find out if they have nabbed the crown.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
