BTS’s Jimin continues to show his popularity on social media platforms with huge followings, engagement, and various influences.

On the 6th of December last year, Jimin, together with the rest of his members, opened their personal Instagram accounts after their PERMISSION TO DANCE IN LA Concert. Following this, Jimin tantalized fans with his first post, a behind-the-scenes photo from the ‘Butter’ era. He later went on to become the 3rd most-followed individual on the platform within 24 hours, with 21.4 Million followers.

He was the most influential Korean celebrity as analyzed by the authentication platform HypeAuditor. On the 9th, he ranked 23rd on the top 1000 influencers on Instagram, making him the highest-ranked BTS member and K-POP Male idol. His account was just 3 days old at the time, and more analytics showed a 63.9% engagement rate.

Currently, Jimin has 31 posts on his account, having amassed 45.5 Million followers despite minimal activity and no live streams or stories. On October 31, fandom data observatory platform pop Radar released analytics on data from Instagram for Korean celebrities, Jimin was found to be the most followed account in the month of October, with an increment of 1,167,431 followers. According to previous data from the platform, he was also the most followed for the months of July 3.5 Million, and August, 2.2 Million followers.

Last June, during the release of BTS’ ‘Butter’ concept photos, Jimin’s 3rd concept photo became a sensation among fans and celebrities among them, South Korean artist Kildren, Facebook, Japanese fashion influencer D, Japanese social media influencer Reika Oozeki, Brazilian model Deh Ales and Indian actress Vrushika Mehta. It ended up reaching 6 Million likes in less than 24 hours, setting the record fastest individual post by a Korean act to achieve the feat. His fourth concept photo was the 8th most commented on, with over 2 Million comments as well.

In January this year, as a result of an analysis of the participation rate of social media on Socialtracker, Jimin ranked first among all members with a 47.78% engagement rate. In August, his became the most influential Korean Instagram account in Korea and WorldWide ranking amongst celebrities like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift, according to HypeAuditor.

Last year Jimin visited Jeju during his vacation in December; he posted about his visits to various places like Snoopy garden, Grape museum, Nuwemaru street, Seolkumbadang beach, and more. This sparked an interest, with many visitors flocking to the island to go where he went and take photos. As a result, the Jeju tourism Organization organized a mural at Nuwemaru and a prize-winning photo contest. 

He is the most mentioned individual on the platform in history, with over 69 Million posts under #jimin. The OST ‘With You‘ which he sang with Ha Sungwoon, has currently been used in 145K reels despite being released 7 months ago.

On TikTok, his individual hashtag has surpassed 121 Billion views is the second most viewed on the platform; along with that, his video won the Best TikTok Video of the Year at the 2021 Mnet Asia Music Awards. On YouTube, his hashtag also has the most usage for an individual act on the platform’s history, now with over 2.3 Million videos.
