Allu Sirish will next be seen in the romantic entertainer Urvashivo Rakshashivo, which is slated for November 4. Anu Emmanuel is the female lead. This entertaining film is written and directed by Rakesh Sashi and bankrolled by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vijay M. Achu Rajamani and Anup Rubens has composed the music. Ahead of the film’s premiere, we chatted with the film’s leading lady. Here is the transcript.
How will your role be in the film?
I played Sindhu, a software employee, in the film. She wants to move forward in her career and she also wants to have love. Having said that, Sindhu doesn’t want her entire life to be limited to love. Meanwhile, she comes across a simple man named Sri Kumar. The plot is about how a simple man and a career oriented girl fall in love. Both the hero and the heroine will have different attitudes and this is a new age movie.
Why did you accept this film?
There are a lot of reasons. I was in a dilemma after listening to this script and then I met Allu Arvind sir. He advised me to do something different and gave me the full script. It’s my first time reading an entire script. These days the audience has changed and they are just looking for good content. So I did a full-length role in this film, unlike my previous films.
How was your experience working with Allu Sirish & team?
I didn’t meet Sirish earlier. I first met him during the puja ceremony and then we started discussing our roles. Sirish is a good colleague. Our chemistry, love scenes and emotions will attract audiences. Sirish is good at film making. Director Rakesh Sashi is a very dedicated person who has no other thoughts but films. Also, my faith in Geetha Arts made me do this project. Urvashivo Rakshashivo can be fully enjoyed with family.
Does your role in the film resemble you?
There are similarities and differences. In real life, Anu is a straightforward girl who wants to rise in her career, which is the similarity between Anu and Sindhu. But, as shown in the trailer, it has nothing to do with the physical relationship in my personal life.
Did you feel like you weren’t getting regular offers?
Early in my career I acted with Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Naga Chaitanya. I think about the roles and the flag. So it is not correct to say that I am not getting offers. My films didn’t work out, but I never failed as an actor. After seeing some results, I changed. I only do it when I feel that I will be suitable for a role. Success is not in my hands.
What are your upcoming movies?
I am currently acting in Ravi Teja’s Ravanasura. My character will be very crazy in it. I also focused on OTT and got an offer. I will let you know the details of this project very soon.
