BTS‘ Kim Seokjin aka Gin performed his new single The astronaut with Coldplay in Argentina. Jin has fun performing in front of again ARMY, as seen in videos now circulating online. However, before Jin joined Coldplay and Chris Martin on stage to perform The Astronaut, Chris made a heartfelt speech about how Jin approached him and asked for a song for ARMY as he was going away for a while. The speech brought ARMY to tears, but no less than the revelation that Kim Seokjin aka Jin will be joining the army in his birthday month.
Chris Martin makes a heartbreaking revelation about Jin’s military service
It was known that BTS would soon join the military. But how soon was not known. The statement released by Big Hit Music said that Kim Seokjin, also known as Jin, will begin his military enlistment procedure by the end of October. This caused quite a stir in the Hollywood News. And now, the acceptance speech given by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has sparked new excitement.
Chris remembered that about 6 months ago he got a call from Gene who said he was leaving the band in December for 2 years to join the army as it was a rule there. Jin asked Chris that he wanted a goodbye song that he wanted to give to ARMY before he left for a while. Kim Seokjin said he wanted a song that tells them (ARMY) that he loves them. While the ARMYs knew about the army recruitment, they had no idea when Jin would be leaving until Chris revealed it today. And ARMY is still trying to process the same.

BTS will join the army soon
Speaking of BTS’ military set. Jin will be the first to enlist in the army, and the rest of the Bangtan Boys – RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook – will join the army as soon as their schedules are complete.
