Chup Starring Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhattand Shreya Dhanwantari grabbed everyone’s attention after the release of the movie’s trailer. The film revolves around a serial killer who kills film critics. Although the trailer impressed everyone, the makers had kept the promotions minimal. But the reviews and word of mouth are positive and that is helping the film at the box office. On day 1, the film collected Rs. 3.06 crores; was benefited by the National Cinema Day as the ticket prices were only Rs. 75. Chup has made it to the entertainment news headlines over the past few days. On Day 2, the film showed a dip and collected Rs. 2.07 crores and while it showed a spike on day 3, it was stable. According to early estimates, Chup on Sunday collected Rs. 2 crores, taking the opening weekend total to Rs. 7.13 crores which is decent. Chup is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 10 crores and in just three days the film has collected Rs. 7.13 crores. So looking at the budget, the first weekend collection is pretty damn good. Also, now on weekdays, the film will benefit from low ticket prices. It was recently announced that in select cities, Chup will be screened at Rs. 100 for a ticket from September 26-29. This is also done by the makers of Brahmastra and Dhokha Round D Corner.

Well, the lower ticket prices are the effect of the National Cinema Day as there were more people in the theaters and that helped the movies get a boost at the box office. Many filmmakers have taken to social media to talk about the incredible response the films have received at the box office due to lower ticket prices. This clearly showed that the audience is ready to watch movies, but because of the high ticket prices, they prefer not to visit the theater.
