Priyanka Chopra is currently grabbing headlines again due to the revelation in her memoir Unfinished where she talks about her botched nose job. In her autobiography, Priyanka revealed how she thought the polypectomy was a routine operation, but doctors accidentally damaged the bridge of her nose and it completely changed her appearance, leaving her horrified and devastated.
In her memoir Unfinished, Priyanka recounts the harrowing story, “I had trouble breathing. This is a problem that someone with asthma cannot ignore. I ended up seeing a doctor recommended by a family friend who found a polyp in my nasal cavity that needed to be surgically removed.” She later added that while shaving the polyp, the doctor accidentally shaved the bridge of her nose as well and it squealed. “When it came time to remove the bandages and the condition of my nose was revealed, mom and I were horrified. My original nose was gone. My face looked completely different. It wasn’t me anymore.”
Priyanka even added that she can never recover from this blow and the scar will always remain. “I didn’t think my sense of self or my self-esteem would ever recover from the blow. Let’s just say it right now. I remember the media nicknamed me ‘Plastic Chopra’ after my surgery.” The White Tiger actress even recalled that she then corrected the damage to her nose with proper surgeries through a polypectomy. Priyanka Chopra has come a long way in her journey and entertainment news fans adore her every bit. Today, she is happily married to the love of her life Nick Jonas and welcomed her daughter Malti Marie Chopra through surrogacy. On the professional front, Priyanka will be seen next in Jee Le Zaraa, but the film is currently on the back burner due to reports that Alia Bhatt is pregnant.
