Honey Singh is currently in the news due to his official divorce with ex-wife Shalini Talwar. The couple is officially divorced and the Punjabi sensational singer has to pay Shalini a whopping amount of Rs 1 crore as alimony to settle the divorce. On Thursday, that is on September 8, the couple reached an agreement on maintenance during mediation proceedings at Delhi’s Saket Court. According to reports in Times Now, Honey Singh aka Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar reached a court in Delhi on Thursday and the singer handed her a check of Rs 1 crore as maintenance in a sealed envelope in the presence of Justice Vinod Kumar, The matter was decided after the counter allegations between Yo-Yo and Shalini and the next hearing will be held in March 2023.
In August 2021, the couple hit the headlines after his wife Shalini Talwar accused the singer of domestic violence and said she felt like an agricultural criminal who was brutalized by him. She later demanded Rs 10 crore as maintenance from the singer. However, Honey Singh categorically denied these allegations against him and called them baseless. The Chennai Xpress singer landed in legal trouble after Shalini filed a domestic violence case against him and his family.
