1. Drishyam 2 – Theatre

Ajay Devgn returned with the sequel of Drishyam and once again impressed the audience with the intriguing plot of his recently release thriller drama which is high on mystery, suspense and thrill. The film picks up seven years after the events of the first instalment when the cops reopen Sam’s murder case, eventually bringing the spotlight back on the Salgaonkars. Drishyam 2 is a remake of Malayalam megastar Mohanlal’s 2021 hit thriller.

2. Mili – TBA

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak, teamed up with filmmaker Mathukutty Xavier for the Hindi version of the Malayalam survival thriller Helen. The film story follows a young girl who gets trapped in a freezer with no escape route. Watch her fight all the odds and survive the freezing temperature in this engaging thriller.

3. A Thursday – Disney+ Hotstar

Lead actress Yami Gautam delivers a strong performance in A Thursday, a movie that revolves around a school teacher who kidnaps 16 students and shares a list of demands that rattle the entire nation. 4. Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha – ZEE5

The action thriller movie which reunited Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi once again picks up from where the first part ended. Th sequel focuses on Nargis and Sameer’s adopted daughter, who has been kidnapped. 5. Monica, O My Darling – Netflix

National Film Award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao teamed up with Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte for an exciting neo-noir comedy thriller that is nothing less than an adrenaline-pumping rollercoaster ride. An adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s Japanese novel Burutasu No Shinzou, the film tells the tale of an ambitious man, who plots an evil plan with a group of unlikely allies only to encounter an unexpected hurdle in the middle. The engaging plot and strong performances by the lead actors helped the film gain a good rating online.

6. Vikram Vedha – TBA

IMDb rating: 7.1

Filmmaker duo Pushkar–Gayathri brought Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan on board for the Hindi remake of their 2017 neo-noir action thriller – Vikram Vedha. While the original Tamil version featured R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, Roshan and Khan left no stone unturned in the remake and delivered an honest performance that struck a chord with the audience. Despite weak box office figures, the film managed to secure a good response online.

7. Runway 34 – Amazon Prime Video

While many actors struggled to lure the audience back to theatres this year, Ajay Devgn emerged as a ray of hope for Bollywood. While Drishyam 2 continues its juggernaut run at the box office, Runway 34 ended up gaining decent reviews online. The film which starred Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles, is reported to be inspired by Jet Airways’ 2015 aviation incident.

8. HIT: The First Case – Netflix

A remake of the 2020 Telugu suspense thriller movie with the same title, HIT: The First Case starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra emerged as a silent hit despite poor box office numbers. The engaging plot of the Sailesh Kolanu directorial follows a middle-aged cop, who needs to overcome his traumatic past in order to solve a case involving a missing woman.

9. Attack: Part 1 – ZEE5

IMDb rating: 6.8

Despite all the high-octane action sequences and positive reviews, John Abraham’s sci-fi thriller Attack: Part 1 failed to excel at the box office. But the gripping narrative managed to help the film gain good points on IMDb and in turn, earn a spot on this list. Talking about the engaging story of the movie, the film tells the tale of a paralyzed army officer, who puts his life in danger for his country by becoming a part of the supersoldier program.

10. Anek – Netflix

IMDb rating: 6.6

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is known for taking up challenging on-screen roles, plays an undercover officer in Anubhav Sinha’s political action thriller Anek. While Joshua is on a mission to neutralize the tense situation in the North East region, he runs into an aspiring boxer, who dreams of winning gold for the country.
