Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandana lead Varisu was released in theaters worldwide a few days ago. It received mixed reactions from the masses. The film is a gritty family drama with some romance. Rashmika and Vijay collaborated for the first time together. Rashmika Mandana had little or no role in the film, per se. She played the role of one of the sister of Thalapathy Vijay’s brother’s wife. She practically had nothing to do in the film and Majnu Mission beauty is perfectly fine with that. Yes, you read that right.

Entertainment News has been full of updates on Varisu ever since it clashed with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu at the box office. Rashmika Mandana and Thalapathy Vijay starrer is a huge family entertainer which is starkly different from Thunivu and Rashmika had a minor role in it. And Rashmika is not bothered by this because she feels that she has to do everything. Rashmika spoke to FIlm Companion where she revealed that she knows she has to do only two songs in the film and nothing more and she wants to kill it in those two songs. “It was actually an inside joke and I would go to Vijay sir and say, ‘I have nothing to do except the two songs,'” she added, News18.com reported.

So why did Rashmika Mandana choose Warisu?
The Mission Majnu actress reveals that it was a conscious decision on her part as she wanted to work with Thalapathy Vijay as he has been an admirer for such a long time. She thinks it’s the journey of going on set and learning all the little things from the people she works with. Rashmika Mandana adds that she wanted to be a part of the film even if she didn’t have any role. She says that as an actress she wants everything to be fine. “I want to be part of the commercial artists. I’m fine with that and I don’t want to be typical,” she said before signing off.
