Karan Johar wanted to launch Vijay to the Hindi audience with Liger. But the movie was a big dud. And hence, reports stated that Karan wanted to ensure that he gives Vijay the success he deserves by giving him a pivotal role in Brahmastra 2. Although there were no confirmations for the same, the news spread like wildfire. However, we are here with the truth about the same.

A source privy to the details exclusively told BollywoodLife that all Brahmastra 2 casting rumors are baseless. Vijay Deverakonda has not been approached for the Ayan Mukerji film. The source adds that Ayan is currently working on fine-tuning the script and story that will take the story forward in Brahmastra 2. As Ayan is diving deep into research, it will take months to have a complete storyline ready and it may take several months more. And only after that, Ayan will start looking for actors who fit the requirements according to the story and the characters.
