This narrative, by PM Modi, was also echoed at the G20 summit in Indonesia earlier this year as the summit declaration.
On October 4 as well, PM Modi spoke by phone with Zelenskyy and declared that there can be “no military solution” and that India is prepared to support any peace initiatives.
On September 16, during their private meeting in Uzbekistan, PM Modi urged Russian President Putin to put an end to the violence, stating that “today’s era is not one of war.”
On Christmas, several Ukrainian towns came under fire from Russian missiles despite Vladimir Putin’s declaration that he was prepared to undertake negotiations with the Zelenskyy-led nation.
