Trashion Fashion: turning waste into wearable art

Submitted by Asifa Pasin.

The Trashion Fashion Show is a fun, creative event in which participants use their imagination and design skills to create and exhibit wearable garments using materials that otherwise would be discarded. It will be on Saturday Sept. 10 at 3 p.m. (models and artists arrive at 2 p.m.) at The Grange, 3252 Orcas Road. Everyone is invited to participate and last min submissions will be accepted as well. We need more fun and creative events in our life and a Trashion Fashion show is a good way to do this. It is sponsored by Orcas Recycling Services and Sew4ZeroWaste. MCing this event is Grace McCune and the DJ will be Bodhicypha For more info, contact Asifa at asifa@exchangeorcas.org.
