THE KERALA STORY BANNED IN WEST BENGAL
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has announced a ban on the Adah Sharma-starrer The Kerala Story in the state owing to concerns of potential violence. As per an ANI report, Banerjee said that “West Bengal govt has decided to ban the movie The Kerala Story. This is to avoid any incident of hatred and violence, and to maintain peace in the state.”
She also added, “What is The Kashmir files? It is to humiliate one section. What is The Kerala story?… It is a distorted story.” Reacting to her dexcion, the film’s producer, Vipul Shah had said, “If that is what she has done, we will take legal action. Whatever is possible under the provisions of law, we will fight.”

Sunny Leone is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Kennedy, which also marks her first collaboration with director Anurag Kashyap at the Cannes Film Festival. The countdown has begun, and we have just two weeks to go until the final experience.

SHAHID KAPOOR TO COLLABORATE WITH POOJA HEGDE IN A NEW MOVIE?
According to a new update, Shahid Kapoor is collaborating with Pooja Hegde on a film. Rumour mills suggest that Shahid is in talks with Rosshan Andrews for a thriller, and it is being said that Rosshan and Siddharth Roy Kapur have finalised Pooja for the movie’s female lead.
A source told Pinkvilla that the movie is titled Koi Shaq and stated, “Rosshan and Siddharth wanted to go ahead with a fresh casting and they have zeroed in on Pooja Hegde to play the female lead alongside Shahid Kapoor. It’s an action thriller and the team is excited to take it on floors.”
ANUPAM KHER REACTION ON THE KERALA STORY ROW
Veteran actor Anupam Kher has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding The Kerala Story movie. Speaking to ANI, he said that those who are opposing the movie also criticised his movie, The Kashmir Files. He was quoted by the news agency as saying, “They are the same faces who are opposing such films and they can be seen everywhere. Be it CAA protest or Shaheen Bagh protest or JNU protest. They were the same faces who criticised The Kashmir Files. I don’t know their motive and neither believe in paying attention towards them. In fact, they have become redundant.”
He added, “Again I would say they are the same faces. I have not seen the film but I am happy that people are making films which are close to reality. And those who feel it is a propaganda are free to make movies dealing with the subject they find perfect. No one is stopping them.”
