ACTRESS CHRISANN PEREIRA DRUG CASE

Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira is in jail in Sharjah after being caught with drugs. As per the latest developments, the Crime Branch has arrested two people on charges of planting drugs on Pereira in order to frame her. The two wanted to take revenge on her mother, Premila Pereira.

The two perpetrators are identified as Anthony Paul and his accomplice, Rajesh Babhote, alias Ravi. Paul wanted to take revenge on Chrisann’s mother, as she had once inducted him in front of her neighbours. So, they allegedly sent her for an audition in Sharjah with drugs hidden in a trophy. Chrisann has acted in films like Sadak 2 and Batla House.

Revealing her mental status at that time, Shannon told India Today, “I was 14 or 15 years old and I was fresh on social media. So, I was fresh baked to all the trolls who commented anything on me. At that time, I was very naïve and vulnerable so I took it all very seriously. That was my biggest mistake. It got so much into my head that I went into depression and I self-harmed. It was a very hard and dark phase.”

Shriya Saran and Sharman Joshi as music and dance teachers, respectively, the trailer showcases the duo attempting to put together a musical play, ‘The Sound of Music’ with the young artists, including Gracy Goswami and Ozu Barua, amongst others.

Depicting the struggles of a music and drama teacher to promote performing arts for children amidst the immense academic pressure subjected by parents, teachers, and society, the trailer takes the audience on a musical journey. The film will be released in Hindi and Telugu on May 12.
