LaTocha Scott (along with her husband Rocky Bivens) and Xscape’s Kandi Burress join Rickey Smiley’s morning show for a surprise interview and things are heating up on air!
An impromptu visit follows from LaTocha Scott after she, from a neighboring studio, learns of Gary’s tea and his reports about the money and mistress scandals. Scott, accompanied by her husband, aims to clear up the alleged rumors in real time. Later, Kandi calls to give her input on the situation.

The interview escalates after LaTocha and Da Brat disagree about a few details of the band’s dynamic and their personal history. The two artists have known each other well since the beginning of their careers, but they have very different memories of some events between then and now. LaTocha’s husband, Rocky Bivens, was asked to comment on the alleged mistress and check cashing.
At one point, Bivens says, “Brother, you know me. I know you’re quiet over there right now, but you know me,” to which Brat replies, “I know what about you?…I don’t know your personal life…I know you, but I don’t know you like that!”
LaTocha admits she regrets her decision to join the Bravo TV special SWV & Xscape: Queens of R&B.

Kandi says, “This interview was very interesting… Just like Brat already explained to you… I’m used to it. I don’t think she ever really cared when things upset me,” in response to LaTocha and Rocky’s guest appearances on the show.
