Yesterday the trailer of Majnu Mission was revealed by the creators. The movie stars Siddharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandana as a presenter. The story revolves around a RAW agent who is sent to Pakistan as a spy. The trailer received a thumbs up from many on social media. However, the trailer seems to have offended a few from the neighboring country. Several netizens objected to the film’s clichéd portrayal of Pakistanis. From surma to adaab, many objected to how Pakistanis were shown in the trailer of Mission Majnu.
In the comment section, people have stated that in Pakistan no one does adab or wears a hat. Some also commented: “Typical adaab, janab, wearing prayer cap and surma. Let’s not do that here. Bollywood needs to do a better job.”

Stop making these nonsensical movies about Pakistan. This fake Aadab, Topi, Surmay wali aankhen and idiotic storylines.. Bas kardo Bas.

Literally grew up in Pakistan and lived here for 36 years without ever greeting anyone with “Adaab”.

Mission Majnu is directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta. The film will not be released in theaters, but rather will be released on Netflix on January 20th. Sidharth Malhotra impressed everyone with Shershaah, but his last film Thank God didn’t do so well at the box office. It remains to be seen how Mission Majnu will be received by the audience.
