Amid the boycott trends in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s much awaited film Brahmastra is finally ready to release in theaters worldwide. And the first review is now from Dubai, but unfortunately Brahmastra seems to have failed to impress with its Astraverse concept. Dubai-based film critic Umair Sandhu took to Twitter to share his views on Brahmastra, apparently after watching the film in advance screenings. He said that Brahmastra is big in all aspects like star cast, VFX, canvas and promotions but unfortunately it is also a big disappointment when it comes to big screen entertainment. Even Shah Rukh Khan’s brilliant cameo could not save the film. Also Read – Brahmastra promos: Alia Bhatt hides baby bump with dupatta as she and Ranbir Kapoor head to DESI [View Adorable Pics]

He said that Brahmastra has no soul and his downfall is inevitable. According to the film critic, the film may have good initial results due to the advance bookings, but soon the audience will start rejecting it after negative word of mouth. He equated the Brahmastra with a phrase that said, “All that glitters is not gold.” Also Read – Brahmastra Box Office Collection: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt’s Film Sells 1 Lakh Tickets On Day One, 2 Lakh On Opening Weekend; only monitors KGF 2

Talking about the performances, the film critic said that Ranbir Kapoor looks confused and doesn’t know what is going on in the film. Alia Bhatt looks stunning while Mouni Roy looks creepy and her performance is loud. Amitabh Bachchan is the epitome of grace but has less screen time.

However, he praised Ayan Mukerji for his brave attempt to venture into a fantasy-adventure film, which is rare in Bollywood. He mentioned that the plot and screenplay are average and it turns into a mess at times. He added that the film has a high level of VFX and several sequences are well executed.

Look.

It remains to be seen how Brahmastra will be received by film critics and audiences in India after its theatrical release. The film has been made on a whopping budget of Rs 400 crores and has been in the making for the past 5 years.
