The run up to Christmas – AKA the most wonderful and expensive time of the year – has many of us trying to cut back on, or entirely stop, clothes shopping. If, however, you are still on the lookout for new season items, chances are, you might be sticking to the sales (bring on Black Friday, amiright?). But rather than relying exclusively on discounts, I’m sharing my tried and tested high street buys that I love because they look expensive, plus, they don’t break the bank. Last week, I wrote about the Zara blazer that I’m obsessed with. This week, it’s all about a jumper.
& Other Stories has a TDF mock neck style that I’ve worn for years now. The slouchy sleeves and soft fabric means it’s very comfy and perfect for shrugging on over the top of a t-shirt, or layering under a thick coat. Meanwhile, the sliiiightly higher collar gives it a super spenny feel. I love wearing mine to work with wide-leg trousers and a pair loafers. Or, if I’m going out on the weekend, with black jeans and combat boots. The third option? Teamed with a slip dress or skirt and a pair of boots. Basically, there are loads of ways you can style this jumper.
As for colour options, I’m a huge fan of the sage green, which you can see me repping on holiday here (with an oversized garden hat I found at our Airbnb, ofc).

Remember, to prolong the life of your favourite jumpers, avoid washing them too often. Also, if you can, store them folded up in a drawer rather than on a hanger so that they keep their shape. Of course, over time, all knits and even coats can start to go bobbly. The solution? A cheap but effective de-piller, also known fabric shaver – read my review of my favourite £18 Amazon style here. But I digress, back to the jumper!
