Adah Sharma is currently basking in the success of her latest film ‘Kerala Story’. The film collected over 200 crore rupees at the box office. The actress has been praised for her stellar performance in the film, which revolves around the story of a group of girls who are targeted by ISIS and forced to convert their religion to Islam. The makers were heavily criticized for making a film on a strong subject that influenced people against religion. Participating in the film put Adah Sharma in trouble.
The actress was abused and harassed by a social media user to leak her contact information online. An Instagram user has reportedly leaked Ada Sahrma’s personal information and threatened to reveal her phone number. The person in question is said to be on social media with the username jhamunda_bolte. The person appears to be from Hyderabad as the post sharing a screenshot of her WhatsApp profile captioned, “Kerala Story banati ab Hyderabadi bacchi teri story banate”.
According to reports, the Instagram account has been deactivated, but the post is going viral. Adah Sharma’s fans couldn’t stand it and immediately supported her. Her fans went on to tag Hyderabad and Mumbai Cyber Cell urging them to take strict action. Meanwhile, the actress has not reacted to the news. Well, this is not the first time that the crew and sets of The Kerala Story have been harassed. Earlier, director Sudipto Sen opened up in an interview to New18 about the threats he faced. He received a threatening message from an anonymous person and reported the same to the police.
The Kerala Story is shaping up to be the second highest grosser of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. 200 crores at the box office, the film also became the highest grossing female-centric film, overtaking Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Adah Sharma will next be seen in The Game of Girgit in the role of a cop opposite Shreyas Talpae. The film is said to be based on the controversial Blue Whale Challenge.
