Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanyaand Mona Singh lead Laal Singh Chadha released on August 11, 2022. The film, which is an adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump, has been in the headlines for quite some time. While it was expected that Aamir’s film would bring the audience to the theaters, the story seems to be the opposite. Despite having a long weekend since the film released on Thursday, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha had a disastrous collection. Even the Raksha Bandhan holiday couldn’t help Aamir’s film wonder at the box office.
Laal Singh Chaddha Day 4 Box Office Collection
Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya starrer Laal Singh Chaddha managed to mint approximately Rs 10 crore on Sunday, day 4 of its release. According to reports, Sunday witnessed a small spike in collections as it made approximately Rs 8.75 crore at the box office on Saturday. Despite a slight jump, the film marked a disastrous opening weekend for an Aamir Khan film. Made on a huge budget, Laal Singh Chaddha took almost two and a half years to release. However, netizens started calling for a boycott of the film based on the old comments about intolerance made by Aamir Khan. All the negativity surrounding the film seems to have affected Laal Singh Chaddha’s box office collections. The film failed to even reach the RS 50 crore mark in its opening weekend.
Laal Singh Chaddha clashed with Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan and both the films have been a smash hit so far. None of them managed to mesmerize the audience and revive the theater culture for Hindi film goers.
Aamir Khan apologizes to the audience
Earlier, during the promotions of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan apologized to all those he may have inadvertently offended and asked everyone not to boycott his film.
