From Game of Thrones stars to comedy legends, Suffolk is a popular place for many celebrities. 

Here are 11 big names you might spot in Suffolk:

Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie

Game of Thrones actor and actress Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie have lived in Suffolk since 2017. 

The couple have a Grade II* listed listed 15th century thatched home in a conservation area near Stowmarket.

The house is part of an 8.2-acre estate which also includes a moat and original farm buildings.

The couple, who met on the set of the hit TV series, were recommended to Suffolk by global superstar and local man, Ed Sheeran, who grew up in Framlingham. 

Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston is frequently seen in and around Aldeburgh, where his family live. 

The Oscar-nominated actor was pictured with singer songwriter Taylor Swift walking along the seafront where the pair were dating in 2016. 

It wasn’t the first time Swift had been in the county either, having previously visited the hometown of friend and megastar Ed Sheeran. 

Helen Fraser

People may be lucky enough to spot Fraser, who has appeared in many television series since the early 1960s, as she lives in Eye.

Fraser has appeared in television series, films and West End musicals. 

Bill Turnbull

When the former BBC Breakfast Show host stepped away from presenting, he opted to head to the Suffolk countryside.

He moved from Cheshire to Suffolk to spend more time with family and friends and spend more time indulging in his hobby of bee keeping.

Claudia Schiffer

The German supermodel lives in west Suffolk with her film director husband Matthew Vaughn.

The pair married at Lavenham Guildhall in 2002 before moving to Coldham Hall, a Grade I listed Tudor mansion at Stanningfield, near Bury St Edmunds.

Griff Rhys Jones

The former star of Not the Nine O’Clock News, Jones has lived in Suffolk for the best part of 30 years. 

Jones, who grew up in Essex, moved to Shotley peninsula after his love for sailing bought him to the county. 

He has said in interviews that he hasn’t ever felt the need to leave.

Richard Curtis and Emma Freud

Richard Curtis, the Love Actually, Four Weddings and A Funeral and Notting Hill writer, has a second home in Suffolk with his wife and script editor Emma Freud.

As a writer he contributed to sketch shows like Spitting Image before creating some of the biggest British TV comedies, including Blackadder with Rowan Atkinson and The Vicar of Dibley with Dawn French.

Bill Wyman 

Best known as the original bassist for the rock and roll band the Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman lives near Stowmarket. 

The Rolling Stones celebrated 13 number one albums, though Wyman left the band in 1993 after being with the group since 1962.

Ed Sheeran

Any list on celebrities being spotted out and about in Suffolk would be remiss to exclude Ed Sheeran.

He moved to Framlingham as a youngster and continues to live near the east Suffolk town, despite making his millions over his career.
