Gadar 2 surpassed the collections of KGF 2 in the Hindi belt. The film has grossed Rs 456 crore in India, which is more than the Yash starrer. It is now the third highest grossing Hindi film after Pathaan and Baahubali 2. The makers are laughing their heads off. Anil Sharma, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s careers got a boost after that. Gadar 2: Anil Sharma takes pride in theatrical performance
Gadar 2 is an unimaginable success for everyone. Anil Sharma had earlier revealed that Sunny Deol started crying over the phone after seeing the response to the film’s morning shows. Trade experts were saying that the organic demand of Gadar 2 has been quite good, but the box office earnings have been a huge surprise. Anil Sharma told India.com that the film is still in theaters and they are not planning an OTT release anytime soon. He said that it will take a minimum of six to eight months to release the film. He was quoted as saying, “By then, so many people would have already seen the film in theaters and so many have already done so… We managed to excite the audience and that is the biggest success for the film.”
Gadar 2 is not obsessed with the Sunny Deol film’s box office numbers
He said he was overwhelmed by the love the audience showed for Gadar 2. He said the numbers were secondary. Anil Sharma said that all the figures from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film are real. He was quoted as saying, “I don’t believe in numbers, Pathaan has done extremely well, even KGF (Chapter 2) has done extremely well and now Gadar 2 is also performing. Now, let’s see how far it goes, how far the audience takes it. It is the audience’s film.” He said that Gadar 2 can cross the Rs 500 crore mark in a few weeks and hopefully even Rs 1,000 crore. He said all the box office numbers are genuine and there is nothing fake.
