Karwa Chauth is the festival of love where wives usually fast for their husband’s good health and wealth. Now even husbands fast for their wives as they believe in equality. While some do not believe in fasting and one of them is Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor. As her mother, Sunita Kapoor makes all the ladies gather on this special day of Karwa Chauth and many Bollywood celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Natasha Dalal and others visit Sunita’s house to celebrate Karwa Chauth, Sonam abstains from it . But she respects tradition and enjoys every bit of it except not fasting. Sonam Kapoor, who gave birth to a baby boy a few months ago, posted beautiful pictures of herself in Indian attire and revealed why she does not fast for her husband Anand Ahuja.
Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram, shared the pictures and wrote, “My husband is not a fan of Karwa Chauth as he thinks fasting should only be intermittent so I have never observed it! But we both strongly believe that festivals and traditions are a great reason for family and friends to get together.”
She even added how much she loves her mom celebrating the festival: “I love that my mom loves to celebrate it and I love being a part of it and dressing up. @kapoor.sunita you always do the best things! Your energy and generosity is legendary and I hope to follow the same path! Happy KC everyone!”.
Last night Sunita Kapoor once again hosted a grand party at her mother’s place where many Bollywood personalities and sybarites celebrated Karwa Chauth and it was a fun night to remember as these pictures are proof. Apart from Sonam Kapoor, several other Bollywood divas are not fasting Karwa Chauth, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Mira Rajput, Rhea Kapoor etc. These devils love their husbands, but even food, and we can totally relate to them.
